The childcare program is designed to provide a safe, loving environment for children from single parent homes or homes where both parents work and care is needed between the hours of 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Children in this program received all the educational benefits of those in the preschool program plus more. Since education is such an important ingredient of our learning center, the classes from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm are divided into the same age groups and receive the same instruction as students in our preschool program.

Therefore, we have the following three age groups and educational goals during the core period of the day for children under kindergarten age:

Toddlers: Adventurous and Independent
Our busy toddlers have opportunities for exercise, large and small muscle development, exploring, social interaction, enhancement of communication and self-help skills. Children learn words and concepts such as colors, shapes and sizes through guided play and sensory activities. They participate in stories, songs, art experiences, imaginative play, sign language and games to promote social development, intellectual ability, language development and communication, as well as self-help skills.

Preschool: Curious and Social
In addition to the experiences above, our preschoolers are given the chance to learn more about the world around them and have exposure to letters and number concepts. Group play and projects encourage the development of friendships.

Pre-Kindergarten: Imaginative and Inquisitive.
Pre-Kindergarten students are ready to explore science and social studies topics, develop reading readiness, further number concepts and other school preparation skills. Songs, stories, puppets, and printed materials help children learn names and sounds of letters. They learn to blend letters together and may begin to read. They also start learning to write letters and numbers and count to 100. During science and health units and other parts of their day they are encouraged to experiment, create, and explore. Their lively imaginations are stimulated in pretend play, reenacting familiar stories and creative storytelling.
Classroom computer are used to reinforce subject materials the students have been taught.
