< Program Objectives >
UCIC Learning Center offers several classes for young children based on their age as of September 1st as well as their maturity. Instruction takes place in an enjoyable, relaxed, "game playing" setting where children learn easily. All ages participate in Bible times and character building activities. The children are encouraged to develop socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically. Ample opportunities are given for children to develop coordination and dexterity, creativity and verbal skills.
Classes are small so teachers can provide the children with the encouragement, tenderness, and personal interaction they need. At all levels, the UCIC Learning Center offers variety and options, including a balance between: child-initiated and staff-initiated activities; free play and organized events; individual and group activities; with quiet and active experiences.

UCIC Learning Center is structured to provide continuous care from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM with complete Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten.
A unique feature of our program is that children in full time childcare are automatically included in the appropriate educational classes without additional cost.
The child is thus with the same caring Christian staff and in a familiar setting all day while receiving quality education at the same time. Some children are enrolled specifically for preschool, pre-kindergarten or Kindergarten classes while other children receive our educational program as a part of their childcare day.
< Student Placement >
The Early Childhood department tries to place each child in the class where he/she will be the happiest and experience the most success. This decision is based upon individual development and may not always correspond with the calendar age of the child.
